Frequently Asked Questions
Things worth knowing before you buy.
With twice daily use and proper care between washes, a bar can last up to a month. Keeping it dry between uses and away from standing water will help it go the distance.
When we say papaya or besan, we mean the actual ingredient — not an extract, not a fragrance. Every bar is made with whole, natural ingredients, and you will be able to tell the difference when you hold one. Because of this, our soaps are naturally softer and richer than most. They are not made to last forever on a shelf. They are made to work.
Our soaps are formulated for the body. For the face, we recommend After Glow — a cleanser made specifically for facial skin, gentler in its formulation and without surfactants.
Our products are made with gentle, natural ingredients and are suitable for sensitive skin. That said, sensitivity varies — what your skin reacts to is specific to you. Read the ingredient list carefully before purchasing, and if you're unsure, reach out to us. We'd rather help you make the right choice than have you make the wrong one.
Soaps have a shelf life of 18 months, lip balms and the scrub 14 months, and the cleanser 6 months. That said, we always recommend using your products fresh — they are made in small batches for a reason.
Our soaps are fragranced using high quality fragrance blends — a careful combination of perfumes and essential oils. For our scrub, cleanser, and lip balms, we use a blend of these fragrances alongside essential oils, as these products have more direct and prolonged contact with the skin. Where surfactants and preservatives are needed, they are used — but only in the amount required to keep the product safe and stable. Nothing more. This is also why our products have shorter shelf lives and lather less than most. Every choice is made with care.
Two to three times a week is ideal. Enough to see a difference, not so much that it disrupts your skin's own balance.
Yes — After Glow is designed for daily use. Gentle enough to reach for every morning and evening without stripping or irritating the skin.
Yes, our products are safe for use during pregnancy. If you have specific concerns, we recommend consulting your doctor before introducing any new skincare.
Most of our products are gentle enough for children. We would however advise against using the scrub on younger skin as it is coarse in texture. As always, read the ingredient list carefully and do a patch test before use.
Each product page carries specific storage instructions — we recommend referring to those for the best guidance. In short: keep your soap dry between uses, your tins closed and away from moisture, and your lip balm out of direct sunlight. A little care goes a long way.
Yes — both Rose Butter and Rose Butter Tint work beautifully as a base under lipstick. They sit lightly and let the colour go on smoothly.
Our range covers dry, oily, combination, and sensitive skin. One thing worth noting — sensitivity is not a skin type, it is a condition. You can have dry skin that is sensitive, or oily skin that is sensitive. Keep that in mind when choosing your products, and don't let a single label do all the deciding for you.
Each product page carries everything you need — ingredients, skin type, and what to expect. If you're still unsure, we are always here to help you make an informed choice. Reach out and we'll figure it out together.
